French Automaker Ligier Gears Up to Launch Myli EV in India, Set to Rival MG Comet EV

The global demand for electric vehicles (EVs) is skyrocketing, and India is no exception. Sensing the growing potential of the Indian EV market, numerous global car manufacturers are making their way to the country. According to recent reports, French automaker Ligier is preparing to launch its first electric car in India, potentially sparking competition in the entry-level EV segment.

Ligier Myli: Spotted Testing in India

Reports suggest that Ligier’s new EV, named Myli, has already been seen testing on Indian roads. This indicates that the company may soon announce its official entry into the Indian market. If launched, the Myli EV will likely target budget-conscious buyers, directly competing with the popular MG Comet EV.

Compact and Feature-Rich

The Myli is expected to be a two-door compact electric car, making it ideal for urban commuting. Despite its compact size, the vehicle could come packed with modern features, positioning it as a strong contender in the entry-level EV category.

Variants and Battery Options

Ligier plans to offer the Myli EV in four variants:

G.OOD

i.DEAL

E.PIC

R.EBEL

The car is expected to come with three battery options:

  • 4.14 kWh (63 km range)
  • 8.28 kWh (123 km range)
  • 12.42 kWh (192 km range)

These options cater to a variety of driving needs, from short city commutes to slightly longer trips.

Standout Features

The Myli is rumored to include several premium features, such as:

  • Eco Mode and Regenerative Braking
  • 13-15 Inch Alloy Wheels
  • Heated Windscreen
  • 10-Inch Touchscreen Infotainment System
  • Reverse Camera and Central Door Lock
  • Front and Rear Disc Brakes
  • 459-Liter Boot Space
  • Heated Driver Seat, LED Lights, DRLs, and AC

Additionally, the car is expected to be available in eight vibrant color options, appealing to younger buyers.

Pricing and Launch Prospects in India

In France, the Ligier Myli is priced between €12,499 (₹11.15 lakh) and €17,099 (₹15.26 lakh). However, for the Indian market, the company would likely revise its pricing to compete with existing players like MG Comet EV. If Ligier successfully introduces a competitive price point, it could create significant buzz in India’s growing EV sector.
