MG Motors is gearing up to launch its third electric vehicle in India, the MG Windsor EV. Based on the Wuling Cloud EV available globally, the Windsor EV is set to make its debut in India on September 11. With a crossover body style, the MG Windsor EV showcases a blend of futuristic aesthetics and clean lines, similar to its global counterpart. Its front fascia boasts a connected LED DRL strip, with the headlights positioned lower on the bumper. The side profile and rear design maintain a minimalist look, complemented by connected LED taillights that further enhance its modern appeal.

Inside, the Windsor EV embraces an all-black cabin with stylish bronze inserts. A teaser revealed a flat-bottom steering wheel paired with wooden trim on the dashboard, giving it a sophisticated vibe. Comfort is a priority, as the rear seats can recline up to 135 degrees, complete with a center armrest for enhanced relaxation.

The vehicle is loaded with top-tier tech features, including a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8.8-inch digital driver display, and wireless phone charging. The front seats are electrically adjustable, and the car offers an electric tailgate for added convenience. Safety is paramount with six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), and a 360-degree camera. Additionally, the Windsor EV will feature Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and automatic emergency braking.

According to reports, the Windsor EV will come with a 38 kWh battery, providing an estimated range of up to 460 km. The electric motor is expected to produce 136 PS of power and 200 Nm of peak torque, ensuring a balanced combination of efficiency and performance.

With a premium set of features, the MG Windsor EV is expected to be priced around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon its launch, it will go head-to-head with rivals like the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400 in the Indian electric car market.
