The Indian company is making the speediest running electric bike
An Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer, Ultraviolette, is gearing up to unveil its fastest electric bike yet, set to launch on April 24th. While the bike's name remains undisclosed, it's rumored to claim the title of the country's fastest electric bike.
Ultraviolette currently offers the F77 electric bike, boasting a top speed of approximately 140 kilometers per hour. However, the forthcoming model is anticipated to surpass this speed record. The F77 is renowned as the fastest e-bike ever produced, featuring a sleek full fairing sports design, which the new model is expected to inherit.
The upgraded version, likely named the fast F77, is anticipated to integrate features from the F99 prototype showcased at EICMA 2023, potentially including a more potent motor, new color options, and downforce generating wings. The chassis, suspension, and brakes are expected to remain similar to the existing model. Reports suggest the ex-showroom price for the Ultraviolette F77 could range from Rs 3.8 lakh to Rs 4.55 lakh, with the fast version likely to command a slightly higher price.
Ultraviolette previously introduced a limited-variant F77 Space Edition priced at Rs 5.60 lakh, commemorating the Chandrayaan-3 launch's success. Only 10 units were produced, and all were swiftly sold within 90 seconds of booking opening. The F77 boasts impressive acceleration from 0 to 60 km per hour in just 2.9 seconds and offers a range of up to 307 kilometers on a single charge.
